I'm off to Dos Palmas tomorrow for a press junket. Strangely, I'm not looking forward to it.. at least not yet what with the three papers I have to finish by tonight come hell or high water. Plus I don't have a decent bathing suit to wear for the trip, and I haven't packed yet! Waaaah! I better get started on the papers, or else there's this teeny-tiny chance that i'll oversleep and not make it to the plane on time.
Three things I must do when I get back:
1) Start going to the gym regularly (hadn't I just said this for, like, the billionth time?)
2) Learn how to drive so I can at last use my car
3) Fix my room

Just came home from the gym with Nikki. Nik liked Fitness First, and she's signing up on May when her Slimmer's World membership runs out-- just in time for the opening of the Fitness First branch in Greenhills (which is near her place). I'm excited that Nik and (i think) Grace will be enrolling at Fitness First soon. Now I'd be enticed to go and work out more often since I'll have gym buddies! hehehe.
Seriously, sometimes it's such a drag to go to the gym (even if my gym's as nice as Fitness First)...but then when I don't go I feel guilty because I would be wasting the P2000-a-month gym fees. But then, laziness wins over guilt. To quote from my mom "Sayang naman yang gym mo. Wala namang effect." And I totally agree.
Ugh.
I swear, I want to take getting fit and working out seriously. Last month, I only went to the gym once or twice a week--kulang, diba? I always use school work as an excuse to ditch working out, but we all know when one really wants to do something, one will make time for it.
I want to make time for the gym, at least an hour-and-a-half, thrice-a-week. I'll try it out next week, I'll keep you updated.

Euro trip, Euro trip!
Back in high school, my barkada and I were always talking about that European trip we'd all take together when we graduate from college. Back then, it seems like a far-away dream. But now, college is about to end (well, in a year anyway). And the trip might just happen.
I've just spoken to my HS kabarkada Sheila over the phone, and she told me that she and another kabarkada of ours, Sha, are indeed serious about that European trip next year. Nikki, on the other hand, is considering it but she is not yet completely certain since she plans to go straight to New Jersey after graduation (I believe she wants to apply to Princeton). There are no solid plans yet, but my friends have a one-month tour in mind. I was surprised to hear that the trip was actually being planned.
Even back in high school, I didn't expect our barkada Euro trip after college to materialize. I mean, it was something nice to fatnasize about and all, but there were too many compliactions. But then again, as they say, if you really want something you'll find a way to have it.
So as Sheila continued babbling about the Euro trip, I suddenly found myself wanting, really wanting to be part of the trip. After further considerations, I realized there is a big possiblity that I could go with my friends to Europe after graduation. It made me excited just thinking about it. Maybe the dream wasn't so far-off after all.
The cost is definetely one thing that could put a plug to my plans. Sha and Sheila seems to have zero problem about moolah. Actually, as early as now, their parents already gave them a go-signal.
As for me, I have a ticket to Europe already, courtesy of my Northwest WorldPerks Milleage (although I have to book a few months in advance). But a trip around Europe is still pricey, even sans the airline ticket fee. A one-month tour would probably cost around $2000-4000. Since I don't have that much money on my own, I'm thinking of maybe asking spending money from mimi and daddy as a graduation gift. Just in case they won't budge (my mom wants me to go to Europe after grad, but she wants me to go with her), I pray that I could maintain my journ scholarship until next year so I could use the money for the trip.
To save money, I suggested that we go backpacking nalang so that we could make the most of our funds and time. But Sheila wants to shop daw (which you can't do when you are backpacking), and I guess she doesn't want the discomfort that goes with backpacking.
Instead, she agreed that we could stay over our relatives' and family friends' place for a day or two to save money allocated to lodging (and also so that someone would show us around the place). For instance, I have a tita who lives in the Netherlands, where we could stay for a while; Sheila naman has a family friend who has a place in London, and blah blah blah.
I can't wait for the Euro trip! Haha, I know it's not good to get obsessed about the trip because, for one, it is over a year a way. Two, it might not push thru at all since nothing is finalized yet. But I just need something to look forward to... anything to keep my mind off school and all the stuff I have to accomplish in the next three weeks. Which reminds me--gah, i have to study hard for that times two theo quiz tomorrow to pull up my shameful C standing.

Nikki has a new phone! It's sooo pretty! She got it for P16,000+ at Greenhills. I want one, I want one!
Oh shoot, there goes the money for my supposed laptop.

Speaking of Nikki, she told me there was an earthquake a while ago. Funny, I didn't feel a thing.

It's almost summer and I still haven't applied to any company yet, abroad or here. Guess why? I still haven't frickin' started my resume, and my mom constantly nags me about it. The more she nags, the more I try to block it out of my mind. I guess I better start doing before it's too late.
I have no talent when it comes to writing resume, cover letters and such. I mean, how do you strike a balance between selling yourself and being too pompous? How do you assert yourself and highlight your good qualities without appearing too yabang?
To my friends who has written a million resumes already and are experst when it comes to this things: help me, you guys! Sige na, i'll treat you when I get hired as an intern :P

I'm so stupid.
This guy I've been crushing on (but whom I barely know) since last year suddenly talked to me kanina and what did I do? Gave him a curt reply, didn't look him in the eye and stopped the conversation when I could've continued the small talk. And the worst is, this is not the first time it happened. Ugh, somebody please hit me hard.

It's supposed to be Ate Emma's (our helper who has been with us for 18 years) birthday today. Supposed to be, because two weeks ago, when my mom instructed her to go to the province to get her birth certificate so we can get her a passport, she found out the shocking truth: her birthday is really June 15. Imagine that! For as long as she could remember (she's 40 years old, by the way), she's been celebrating her birthday on March 15. And now, finds out that it's the wrong day. How about that?
I wonder how she feels today. Does she feel it's still her birthday, having celebrated it for so long on this day?
